Bringing New Product to Market for a Manufacturer

Background

The company developed a patented unique writing aid with worldwide applications in the disabled and pre-school markets and were looking for practical assistance with their sales and marketing strategy and the implementation of the resultant sales plan.

Nature of work undertaken.

  • Investigated the market including visiting relevant trade shows to identify major UK and Overseas distributors.

  • In consultation with company, drew up a Sales and Marketing plan.

  • Advised on promotional material and website content and obtained product testimonials from Occupational Therapists.

  • Further assistance was provided in the implementation stage of the Sales plan.

Outcome

An agreement with a major USA company for product distribution in North American market was secured and discussions with two potential UK Distributors are in the negotiation stage.
